
Pork Sandwiches
(Serves 6)
- Ingredients:
- 2 lb pork loin, in 1-in-thick slices
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- 1 to 2 tsp hot red pepper, crushed
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- olive oil
- crushed rosemary
- crusty round rolls or hamburger buns
- salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
- Directions:
- Marinate pork in a mixture of vinegar, red pepper, onion, and garlic for 1 hour at room temperature.
- Pat the pork steaks dry and rub them with olive oil.
- Sprinkle pork steaks with crushed rosemary.
- Grill about 5 to 7 minutes on each side over each side over hot mesquite.
- Serve on lightly buttered rolls or buns toasted on the grill.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
